Dr. Edward L. Holton, DVM


Dr. Edward Holton was born in
Washington,
Georgia and raised in
Evans,
Georgia. He has lived in the Dawson-Cumming area for the last 24 yrs. He is a graduate of UGA with his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1985 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Holton has practiced in the
North Georgia area since 1994. He established his own practice in Dawsonville in 1997. Dr. Holton is very involved in the community, volunteering at the
Senior
Center with Meals on Wheels, also belongs to Dawson County Rotary Club, Dawson County Chamber of Commerce, North Georgia Quarter Midget Assoc. and a member of Christ Redeemer Catholic Church. On his off time he spends quality time with his wife, Patty, twin sons, James and Matthew, Blubelle (10 yr old Australian Sheppard), Jackson ( 10 yr old Bearded Collie mix), Meghan ( 4yr old Hound mix), Trouble (4yr old Sheppard mix) and the clinic bird, Spike. Dr. Holton’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is that he gets to be your pets’ family Doctor and in turn he gets to know both you and your pet. He also enjoys the fact that he treats several different species of animals in both medicine and surgery. He takes great pride in providing quality care and service to his community along with a hospital with a highly qualified staff and state of the art medical equipment.
